So Aspen licenses its software in a way mainly targeted at large corporations who will be using a variety of software, ie hysys, flare net, EDR where you buy tokens that can basically be swapped between software at different times but can only be used by one person at a time. They have alternate licensing for schools and small businesses, but the school licenses need to be bought through a university and the small business license for Hysys will cost a few thousand dollars. I would talk to your professor and tell him to get in touch with a sales person at Aspen and see if he can get a university license which is good for a large number of installations.
