The Last Dragon is 1985 action film centered around Leroy Green (Taimak), a karate student that is sent on a quest to find the karate master and to reach the upper level of martial arts known as the glow. Leroy is a very shy and unassuming kid that works in his father's pizza shop and focuses solely on his martial arts training. This makes him a social outcast, and the target of jeers from the kids in his neighborhood.

Although Leroy is nonviolent, he manages to make a few enemies on his path towards enlightenment. Sho'nuff, the self proclaimed 'Shogun of Harlem', is determined to destroy Leroy and prove that he is the best martial artist in New York City. Knowing that Leroy does not want to fight him, Sho'nuff (Julius J. Carry III) will stop at nothing to force Leroy into accepting the challenge. After Sho'nuff trashes his father's pizza shop and Leroy still will not fight him, he is labeled a coward by his little brother Richie (Leo O'Brien).
